Sanrio’s beloved character, My Melody, is celebrating her 50th anniversary with a special theme cafe that will open in Tokyo, Osaka, Aichi, and Miyagi starting December 12, 2024. This limited-time event promises to be a delightful experience for fans, featuring a pink-themed menu that embodies the charm of My Melody.

About My Melody

Debuting in 1975, My Melody is a sweet and cheerful character known for her caring nature towards her younger brother. Born on January 18, she treasures the cute hood made by her grandmother and enjoys baking cookies. Her favorite food is almond pound cake, and she dreams of becoming a pastry chef. As a member of the Sanrio family, My Melody continues to capture the hearts of many fans even after five decades.

My Melody Cafe – Heartful Party

The My Melody Cafe, titled “My Melody Cafe ~Heartful Party~”, will open in four locations: Harajuku, Nagoya, Umeda, and Sendai. The cafe’s concept revolves around My Melody providing special sweets and gifts to guests, creating a romantic and cute atmosphere filled with pink decor.

Special Menu Highlights

  • Welcome Omelette Rice with Heart-shaped Scrambled Eggs and Ratatouille
  • My Melody Plate featuring a Party Plate style with various treats
  • Adorable My Melody Gratin with a large heart design
  • Fun desserts like a My Melody-themed parfait and waffle box resembling a gift box
  • Birthday menu items celebrating My Melody’s special day (available for a limited time)

In addition to the food, the cafe will offer a variety of special drinks and original merchandise, including random acrylic keychains, hologram badges, and wooden magnets, as well as practical items like pouches and mugs.

Exclusive Benefits for Visitors

Guests who make reservations in advance will receive a limited edition square badge (randomly selected from 10 designs). Additionally, visitors will be given a “Thank You Card” and can participate in a social media campaign to share their experiences.

Reservation Details

Reservations for each location are currently open on the cafe’s official website, with a reservation fee of 660 yen (tax included) per person. Up to four seats can be reserved per application. The original cafe merchandise will also be available for online purchase from December 12, 2024, to March 2, 2025.
