New Anime Adaptation of Nube Announced for Summer 2025

The legendary occult comic “Nube” with a total circulation of 29 million copies is set to return with a new anime adaptation in the summer of 2025. The role of the main character, Meisuke Nue, will be voiced by Ryotaro Okiayu, and a cast reveal video along with the second teaser visual have been released.
About the Original Series
Originally serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 1993 to 1999, “Nube” was created by writer Sho Makura and illustrator Takeshi Okano. The story follows Meisuke Nue, a teacher with a demon’s hand, who protects his students from the threats of yokai and evil spirits, making it a thrilling school hero action series.
Character and Voice Actor Announcement
Ryotaro Okiayu will portray the beloved character Nube, who is known for his bright and kind personality, as well as his occasional clumsiness. The character’s iconic line, which symbolizes the unsealing of his demon hand, can be heard in the cast reveal video, which also features a special comment from Okiayu himself.
Teaser Visuals and Animation Studio
The second teaser visual showcases Nube in a dramatic pose, brandishing his demon hand with a determined expression. The animation for this new adaptation will be produced by Studio KAI, promising high-quality visuals and engaging storytelling.
