Introducing Giru

Giru is a Machine Mutant that Goku and his companions encounter on Planet Imegga. His manufacturing number is DB4649T2006RS. He is named Giru by Goku due to his distinctive way of speaking, often saying “Giru-giru.” Equipped with artificial intelligence, Giru has the ability to consume other machines to replenish his energy and absorb their functions.

Story Overview

During their journey, Giru accidentally consumes Trunks’ Dragon Radar, leading him to join Goku and the others in their quest for the Ultimate Dragon Balls. He forms a close bond with Pan, playing and even fighting with her. When Pan gets lost on Planet Rudeze, Giru bravely searches for her and confronts a giant monster to rescue her.

However, Giru is actually a creation of the villainous Doctor Mu, who aims for world domination. By joining Goku’s team, he intends to lead them to his base on Planet M2, where he plans to gather combat data on Goku and his friends. Despite his initial betrayal, Giru ultimately helps Goku and the others when they are in danger, revealing that his actions were part of a trap he devised with Trunks to expose Doctor Mu’s schemes.

After collecting all seven Ultimate Dragon Balls, Giru returns to Earth with Goku and the team. He uses the Dragon Radar to locate the evil dragons that emerged due to the overuse of the Dragon Balls, assisting Goku in their adventures.

First Appearance

Giru made his debut in episode 3 ofDragon Ball GT.

  • Giru is equipped with a variety of functions! His arms and legs can retract, allowing him to fly freely in the air. The central part of his body can open and close, enabling him to launch missiles.
  • When Goku and his friends are turned into metal, Giru retrieves a device to melt the metal and restore them to their original forms.
  • Interestingly, Giru is also skilled at games, boasting an impressive undefeated record of 50 wins against Pan!
