Evangelion Racing has announced its participation in theMacau Grand Prix 2024 Macau Roadsport – Macao SAR Establishment Cup, where the iconic purple and green TOYOTA GR86, inspired by the Evangelion Unit-01, will race through the streets of Macau. This event will take place from November 14 to November 16, 2024, on the renowned Guia Circuit, a public road circuit in Macau. The team aims to once again reach the podium after their previous successes.
Team Background and Vehicle Details
- Evangelion Racing made its debut in the Macau Grand Prix in 2020, securing a third-place finish in the Macau GT Cup.
- The racing vehicle, named “EVA RT TEST TYPE-01 GREENLIGHT GR86,” features a striking design that reflects the colors of the Evangelion Unit-01.
- The team collaborates with Chillin Motorsport management, a Hong Kong-based racing team with extensive experience in touring car races.
The driver for this year’s event will be Seto Wing Shun Ivan, who previously achieved a podium finish in the 2023 Macau Roadsport Challenge.
