Shizuoka Prefecture is buzzing with excitement as it hosts a special event that allows fans to dive deep into the enchanting world of the beloved anime “Yuru Camp△”. This unique experience runs until February 28, 2025, and features a digital stamp rally that spans the entire prefecture, along with character voice projects on the Oigawa Railway. These initiatives not only promote tourism but also encourage visitors to explore the region while enjoying the anime’s captivating atmosphere.

Special Events in Shizuoka Prefecture

Shizuoka Prefecture is currently hosting a special event that allows fans to immerse themselves in the world of the popular anime “Yuru Camp△” until February 28, 2025. This event features a digital stamp rally that spans the entire prefecture, along with character voice projects on the Oigawa Railway. Through these initiatives, Shizuoka aims to promote tourism and encourage visitors to explore the region while enjoying the anime’s unique atmosphere.

Digital Stamp Rally

• Participants can visit various locations featured in the anime to collect stamps.
• Special prizes and participation rewards are available based on the number of stamps collected.
• The event runs from October 11, 2024, to February 28, 2025.

To participate, download the official Shizuoka tourism app “TIPS” and scan the QR codes located at the designated spots. Rewards include AR images of characters and original stickers for the first 3,000 participants who collect 10 stamps. Additionally, there are grand prizes such as signed posters and original reclining chairs based on the number of stamps collected.

Panel Exhibition

Alongside the stamp rally, a panel exhibition showcasing locations from “Yuru Camp△ SEASON3” will be held at the Oigawa Railway Plaza Roko from January 10, 2025, to February 28, 2025. Admission is free, and the exhibition will feature scene stills, character life-size panels, and more.

Character Voice Project on Oigawa Railway

From November 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025, passengers on the Oigawa Railway can enjoy new recordings of conversations between characters Nadeshiko Kagamihara and Rin Shima during their journey. This original story will include nostalgic moments from “SEASON3” and local sightseeing information.

Collaboration Between Anime and Region

“Yuru Camp△” has significantly contributed to the recognition of Shizuoka’s charm, with many episodes set in the region. Since 2020, Shizuoka has collaborated with the anime to promote local attractions, especially following the airing of “Yuru Camp△ SEASON3” from April to June 2024, which further increased interest in the Oigawa area.

About Yuru Camp△

Originally serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward since May 2015, “Yuru Camp△” depicts the leisurely camping adventures of high school girls in Yamanashi and Shizuoka Prefectures. The series has gained immense popularity, leading to multiple anime adaptations and a film release in 2022. The latest season aired in 2024, with a fourth season already announced.

Upcoming Gundam Film

In addition to the Yuru Camp events, the theatrical version of “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-” will be released on January 17, 2025.
